Example Initiative: CPR Training
Thonburi Hospital organized a CPR training session, including lectures and hands-on training on CPR techniques and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) usage. The training was conducted for 400 personnel from the Bangkok Naval Base on November 9–10, 2023.
Performance Outcomes and Community Health Education Initiatives
The CPR training program at Bangkok Naval Base enhanced the skills of participating personnel, equipping them to perform their duties more effectively. This initiative contributed to community quality of life development by ensuring preparedness for emergency situations, ultimately increasing survival rates in critical cases.
CPR Training by Thonburi Thawi Watthana Hospital
Thonburi Thawi Watthana Hospital conducted two CPR training sessions:
- Basic First Aid Knowledge and Understanding – Provided to teachers and staff at all levels of Plearnpattana School. Led by Dr. Sawitree Pattanakowit, an emergency medicine specialist, along with a team of nurses on April 24, 2023.
- “Basic First Aid and CPR” Training – Offered to students to enhance their knowledge and preparedness for emergency situations, especially for the annual Red Cross Sports Event in the 2023 academic year. The training, conducted by a team of nurses, took place on October 25, 2023, and garnered significant student interest.
Health Knowledge Dissemination by Thonburi Sirivej Hospital
Thonburi Sirivej Hospital provided health-related education to various organizations, including:
- Alternative Medicine Awareness by a Traditional Chinese Medicine Specialist – Held on June 18, 2023, to enhance understanding and credibility of alternative treatments, offering perspectives beyond conventional medicine.
- Training on Bedridden Patient Care – Conducted on June 20, 2023, to educate caregivers on preventing pressure ulcers, equipping them with practical knowledge for patient care.

Performance Outcomes
Sixty public health officials from Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Health Office who participated in the program gained essential knowledge in occupational safety, health, and workplace environments. This training enabled them to apply the acquired expertise within their organizations, contributing to reducing workplace accidents in local businesses, hospitals, and insured establishments across Nakhon Si Thammarat.
Study Visit and Special Lecture on Occupational Health and Safety in Hospitals
Thonburi Thung Song Hospital hosted a study visit and special lecture on “Hospital Occupational Health and Safety Management” on October 27, 2023, providing valuable insights into safety practices in medical institutions.
Training Outcomes and Health Promotion Initiatives
Hospital Occupational Health and Safety Management Training
A total of 75 students from Walailak University’s Occupational Health and Safety program participated in this training, gaining valuable insights into hospital safety and occupational health management for medical personnel, including doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers. The program fostered awareness of a strong safety culture within organizations, encouraging collective responsibility in maintaining a safe environment for all. This initiative also enhanced patient safety, increased caution in caregiving, and helped students develop mindfulness and awareness of safety precautions.
Behavioral Modification Program: Reducing Obesity and Disease
Thonburi Thung Song Hospital conducted a behavioral modification program for 30 employees of Sri Trang Agro-Industry Public Company Limited, Thung Song Branch, on September 28 and December 20, 2023.
Outcomes:
The program promoted healthier lifestyle choices among employees, encouraging them to select appropriate foods, allocate time for exercise and rest, and establish sustainable health routines. As a result, employees became more conscious of reducing health risks and improving overall well-being. Additionally, the program reinforced the importance of creating a supportive environment for behavioral change.
Study Visit on Architectural and Engineering Design Integration for Safety Compliance
Thonburi Thung Song Hospital hosted a study visit on August 25, 2023, for 37 students from Walailak University’s Faculty of Architecture. The session focused on integrating architectural design, building structures, and engineering systems according to safety standards.
Outcomes:
Students gained firsthand experience in occupational health and safety management within hospital environments, enhancing their understanding of safety regulations and best practices in building design.
Stroke Prevention Awareness and Community Health Promotion Program
Thonburi Sermrath Hospital organized a mobile health awareness program titled “Stay Safe, Stay Stroke-Free,” conducting four sessions with a total of 160 participants. The sessions were led by Dr. Songtham Ngodngamtaweesuk, a neurologist, and included health promotion activities aimed at stroke prevention in the community.

Outcomes:
Participants learned to make healthier dietary choices for cardiovascular health and gained knowledge about stroke risk factors, such as smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, poor health management, and immune system disorders. The program also educated attendees on stroke symptoms, emergency response procedures, and immediate actions to assist individuals in need. Ultimately, participants recognized the importance of regular exercise as a preventive measure against stroke.
Basic Life Support Training Program by Thonburi Sirivej Hospital
A total of 14 training sessions were conducted between March and December 2023, with 1,002 participants. The training aimed to enhance employees’ knowledge, understanding, and practical skills in basic first aid, ensuring proficiency in emergency response. These skills contribute to correctly assisting accident victims and reducing mortality rates.
Additionally, Thonburi Ratchathani Hospital organized 20 training sessions from January to December 2023 in Songkhla Province and surrounding areas. The “Basic Life Support & AED – CPR” training incorporated CPR BAND technology to assess and ensure the accuracy of chest compressions. This technology enhances practical application, confidence, and effectiveness in handling emergencies requiring immediate medical assistance before professional rescue teams arrive.
Furthermore, Thonburi Ratchathani Hospital, in collaboration with Koh Lipe Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospital, held a Basic Life Support & AED (CPR) training session on November 20, 2023. The event fostered positive relationships and strengthened the connection between health tourism and emergency medical care for tourists.
School Tour Program by Thonburi Bamrungmuang Hospital
On Friday, July 21, 2023, a school tour was conducted at Tofa Kindergarten School. The event featured nurses providing hygiene education, demonstrating proper tooth brushing techniques, and teaching correct handwashing methods. Children also learned about body parts, personal hygiene, and engaged in a coloring activity.
The program successfully educated students on the importance of personal hygiene, proper tooth brushing and handwashing techniques, and encouraged them to adopt healthier habits. Teachers also gained greater awareness of student health management in schools.
Basic Infection Prevention and COVID-19 Awareness Program
On Tuesday, August 22, 2023, Thonburi Bamrungmuang Hospital organized a public awareness event on infection prevention and COVID-19 transmission. The hospital also distributed “Caring Bags” to motorcycle taxi drivers, local vendors, and community members around the hospital.
The event improved participants’ understanding of personal hygiene and preventive measures against COVID-19. It also encouraged responsible health practices, fostering a community culture of health-consciousness and social responsibility.
Hospital & PROMPT CARE Awareness Campaign
On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, Thonburi Bamrungmuang Hospital, in collaboration with Telehealth Care Co., Ltd., hosted a health seminar at Viriyah Insurance Headquarters on the topic “Osteoporosis: The Silent Threat That Can Be Prevented.” The seminar, conducted by Dr. Chalida Phubangkirdphon, a specialist in rehabilitation medicine, was attended by over 120 employees both online and onsite.
Hospital Study Tour Program
On Friday, October 6, 2023, Thonburi Bamrungmuang Hospital hosted a study tour for 43 faculty members and students from Dhurakij Pundit University’s Integrative Health and Wellness Program. The tour covered three departments: Outpatient Medicine, Dentistry, and Jin Wellness.
Medical Seminar: “Preventing Office Syndrome”
On Friday, October 20, 2023, Thonburi Bamrungmuang Hospital conducted a seminar for executives, employees, and residents of Real Asset Development Co., Ltd. The session, led by Dr. Chanida Phubangkirdphon, a rehabilitation and physical therapy specialist, provided insights into Office Syndrome, its symptoms, risk factors, and preventive measures. The seminar aimed to raise awareness and promote workplace health.
Cyber Security Awareness for Students
On February 17, 2023, Thonburi Ratchathani Hospital conducted an academic seminar on “Cybersecurity: Online Safety” at Worapat School, led by Mr. Piyawat Maneenual, Head of IT Division. The seminar aimed to educate elementary school students on safe digital practices and cybersecurity awareness.
“Safe Driving for Young Drivers” Program
Between May and July 2023, Thonburi Ratchathani Hospital, in collaboration with the Songkhla Transport Office, conducted training sessions on emergency response, first aid, and motorcycle accident insurance laws. Over 1,200 students from Woranaree Chalerm School, Hatyai Ratprachasan School, Hatyai Commercial Technology College, and Nawaminthrachinuthit Thaksin School participated.
The program equipped students with essential first aid skills, helping them handle emergencies effectively before professional medical teams arrived.
Medical Seminar: “New Kidney, New Life”
On July 16, 2023, Thonburi Ratchathani Hospital, in collaboration with Praram 9 Hospital, hosted a kidney health seminar at Crystal Hotel, Hat Yai. The event featured expert discussions on kidney disease management and kidney transplant experiences.

Royal Honorary Mobile Medical Unit
In collaboration with the Medical Governance Foundation, the Medical Council of Thailand, and King Prajadhipok’s Institute, Thonburi Thungsong Hospital provided cardiac health screenings for Buddhist monks, novices, nuns, and the general public in nearby provinces.
